Pressure CIPP rehabilitiation: PIONEER®LINER is suitable to be used within earthquake-prone regions

Safe is safe

Needle felt liners used in the rehabilitation of trenchless piping networks need to possess a wide range of advanced technical characteristics, one of which is to be suitable for installation within earthquake prone regions. After the powerful earthquake in 2011 in Japan, numerous lines that were rehabilitated with the advanced PIONEER®LINER portfolio prior to the powerful quakes in the Sendai region were examined for their condition after those tragic earthquakes..

The goals of those extensive tests were to assess the possible effect that the strong earthquake may have had (one of the most powerful recorded) and draw conclusions for future installations about the suitability and impacts based on such a powerful event. The extensive assessment of the lines that were investigated concluded the PIONEER®LINER’s showed no signs of damage – providing real and applicable data that our advanced PIONEER®LINER portfolio is suitable for earthquake prone applications.

Every year, more than 800 kilometers (2,6 million feet) of piping network around the world are successfully rehabilitated by using PIONEER®LINER solutions. This validates that our liner products meet the high demands of the global rehabilitation market. Our parent company Gebr. Röders AG from Germany has been the first company within the CIPP liner production world-wide, with a certified manufacturing plant/process as per DIN EN ISO 9001: 2000, from the fiber to the finished dry liner.

XTRA 2in1

PIONEER®LINER XTRA is a unique and patented liner system for the rehabilitation of gravity flow pipes, engineered to provide significant value by integrating an additional conduit within the liner construction.

When installed, two separate and completely independent tubes/conduits are created, allowing for secure, permanent and accessible space for future usage, such as installing fiber optic cables, etc.
